OpenSourcery launches Drupal Training Tour 2011

I am happy to announce OpenSourcery's 2011 Drupal Training Tour. This year we'll be visiting eight cities in six states and offering up twenty expert Drupal training sessions.

In each workshop you'll learn the Drupal Way, working directly with Drupal alongside OpenSourcery's own Drupal rock stars, and take home useful reference materials outlining each activity with step-by-step instructions.

I'm also truly honored to add that OpenSourcery has been approved as an Acquia training partner. Meeting the high standards Acquia sets requires a rock-solid understanding of Drupal and years of practical experience building custom web applications.

If your city isn't on the tour this year and you'd like OpenSourcery to visit please let us know. We offer customized and private Drupal training as well.

Volunteer for Ignite Portland 5

As you've probably guessed, we really like Portland. The tech community here is vibrant and very busy, with multiple events, networkings and general good things going on almost every night of the week, all year long. We've been fortunate enough to help arrange sponsorship for Ignite 4, and this time around for Ignite Portland 5, I'm helping out the Legion of Tech team by helping coordinating the day-of-volunteer efforts. If you're looking to get involved with Ignite 5 to help out with the showing, let me know at amye at opensourcery dot com.

We'll need help taking tickets, getting speakers in their places, and making sure that things go well.

Mark your calendars for February 19th, 2009, starting 7pm at the Baghdad Theatre.

See http://www.igniteportland.com for more information, submissions are due January 24th.

2008 Mondo Croquet World Championships

Lady MaudllinLads and Lassies - you just missed The 11th Annual Mondo Croquet World Championships and Mad Hatter Picnic!

What's Mondo Croquet you ask?

It's just like regular croquet - only a lot more fun.

Instead of those wee little balls we use bowling balls.  Instead of little sissy hammers we use sledgehammers.  Hoops are made of bent rebar.

...and it's jolly good fun.

Those with sharp eyes may see some of the Portland open source community in the group photo.

Check out the photos from 2008!
