Brian is a seasoned entrepreneur with many technology-related companies to his credit. He has worked with Linux, open source, and the Internet professionally since 1995. Brian serves as President for the Portland Open Source Software Entrepreneurs (POSSE) and as advisor, mentor, or board member for numerous startups. He actively promotes safe, renewable biodiesel as a locally-produced fuel source.

Josh is a veteran developer and project manager with fifteen years of experience in software and database development for commercial, non-profit and university organizations. He has a wide range of experience in relational database programming and analysis, distributed and web applications, markup languages, and software design and development methods utilizing Java, J2EE, SQL, Perl, Ruby, Rails, Python, Zope, Bash, PHP, Visual Basic, CSS, XML, HTML, Javascript and, yes, AJAX.

Kris has been building and operating networks and network services for over ten years. As a seasoned network engineer, he understands the needs of communications delivery from small business cost savings to carrier class redundancy. As a systems engineer, Kris integrates critical business infrastructure to deliver information technology that works. "Networks must be fast, stable, and secure with applications that ride on them useful and fault-tolerant."

Alex comes to OpenSourcery with extensive software engineering experience. Over the years he has learned a raft of programming languages but is currently happy and productive in Ruby on Rails.

Chad has been working in system administration for several years. He has built and maintained Linux and cross platform networks for businesses.

Cooper embraced open source professionally in 1997 and brings a wealth of systems and networking experience to the team.

Dylan is a software engineer with nearly a decade of experience. He specializes in Drupal development and has extensive experience with Perl and Java. His other interests include computer security, embedded design, climbing and brewing.

Dieter has been playing with computers since he was six years old. He fell in love with Perl while trying to write an IRC bot and with Linux when it wiped out his boot partition. Ten years later, there's room in his heart for Javascript, Ruby, and Solaris, but Perl's still on top. Outside of computers, he enjoys soccer, frisbee, camping, reading, and beer.

Jonathan graduated from shooting x-rays at hard drives while doing research at IBM to data wrangling at the Downtown Emergency Service Center, where he led software development of CHASERS, an agency management/client tracking system at one of Seattle's largest homeless service providers.

Randall is the marriage counselor between people and computers, an accomplished design and software engineering professional with over a decade of IT experience. He is the lead designer and developer of eleMental Clinic, an open source patient management system for mental health clinics.

Ryan Whitehurst is an 18 year old senior at Central Catholic High School. He discovered his love for computers at a very young age and his love of free software when he realized why we write software: to help ourselves and others.

Samantha has recently returned from fighting evil robots and teaching elementary school students in Japan, which she thinks was great preparation for working at OpenSourcery.

Sean has led national community organizing initiatives and international relief projects, served as a fundraising strategist for environmental groups worldwide, and run his own open source software consultancy specializing in Drupal CMS development.

Stephen has been involved in web development for over ten years, including a stint as Senior Technologist at CKS|Partners, Inc. His own company – AMAZING! Web Development – delivered amazing web applications for clients such as Oregon Public Broadcasting, the Oregon State Parks, Portland State University, OMSI and Rogue Ales.

Thomas comes to OpenSourcery with a decidedly non-tech background. He's a creative writing major with a master of fine arts in fiction, and has worked extensively in education and publishing. <a href="/people/thomas-king">Read More</a>

Will is an experienced software developer, systems administrator, and fifth-generation Oregonian with a computer science education from Lewis & Clark College. He is dedicated to connecting clients with the best of open source software, and he pursues this goal with a genuine desire to see technology improve lives, one situation at a time.
